Better buying decisions need honest evidence.
PonderPigeon helps you examine product sources, prices and reported owner experiences. This guide explains what to expect while the service is in private beta.
Check the product and the source.
Match the exact model, variant and shopping country before comparing. Prices, stock and shipping can change between an observation and checkout. Open the retailer source to confirm the final details. A Buy Score is an explanation of available evidence, not a guarantee of quality, reliability or a future price.
Real data and labeled sample examples stay separate. Missing evidence is displayed as missing; an imported product may not have enough information for a recommendation. Read our scoring methodology for the factors and evidence requirements.
Contribute your own experience.
Submit accurate information about products you have owned. Do not submit duplicate, paid or invented ownership experiences, manipulate votes, or include private order details. Review determines whether a response is suitable to include; it does not establish verified ownership. You can manage or remove your experiences from My products.
Keep your account safe.
Use a unique password and save your one-time recovery code somewhere private. This beta uses saved codes for password recovery and does not send reset emails. Registering an email address does not verify product ownership. You can change your password, replace your recovery code, export saved data or delete your account in Account security and data controls.
Protect your password and recovery code as you would any other account credentials. A person who has your recovery code and email can reset your password. Read Privacy & your data for what the service stores.
Understand what is connected.
Retailer coverage varies by country. Price targets are checked while My products is open; they do not send email or background notifications. Historical charts contain recorded observations and may start with only a few entries. Purchases and returns happen with the retailer.
The beta can change as features and data sources improve. If a listing looks wrong, report the issue on its product page with a public supporting source. Keep account passwords, API keys and personal documents out of searches, reports and comments.
